WHY SCIENTISTS ARE AFRAID OF ASTEROIDS
Introduction
The BBC News published an article on September 14, 2021, titled Asteroid that wiped out dinosaurs shaped fortunes of snakes https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-58559735#
That article caught my attention. The reason was that every now and then, God would be speaking to me about the problem He is having with humanity. He opens my eyes and understanding, and keeps asking me if I am seeing how people are living as they like, especially when we see the rate of nudity, which spirit is now massively overtaking Africa. It used to be a taboo. But now many that claim to be Christians find nothing odd with it. He tells me about the idolatries of the many Africans and their Asian counterparts.
Unfortunately, while the many Asians are ignorant because they had been foisted with such religions centuries before Christ the Saviour came, and it is very difficult to penetrate them (but which we are achieving now by our podcasts to the praise of God), many Africans, especially, the sub Saharan Africans, whom God boasts of, are being leavened by the yeasts of spiritual adultery, occultism of the devil, and the incarnation or importation of the spirit of the Sodom and Gomorrah.
Of course, the spirit of the scientific mysticism of Shinar of Nimrod, that became Babel, under his one world government, the merchandise pride of Tyre and Sidon, and worst still the spirits of Capernaum, Chorazin, Bethsaida – the cities the Lord berated for their unbelief in the face of the many mighty works He did in them, are all multiplied on the face of the earth. Equally, we are not spared of the evil practices of some of the Corinthian believers who participated in both the communion of the devil and Communion of the blood of Christ, for which many of them died mysteriously as members of the church.
God keeps impressing in my spirit that He is getting fed up with all of the humanism of humanity and especially, the desecration of the Christian faith. Therefore, I wanted to do a podcast on why God destroyed the worlds that then were. I already have that piece written somewhere. I was just to cast it. However, before I could proceed, I decided to ascertain some issues. I wanted to find out if there is anywhere we have it written that God overthrew any nation after the Biblical Sodom. Therefore, I went to surf the web, and that BBC article caught my attention.
Taken 66 million years back
Ecclesiastes 8:11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
Ever since the biblical destruction of Sodom and all the surrounding cities (Genesis 19:24-25), which Deuteronomy 29:23 gives us little more details – “Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath,” we haven’t had any more cities that have been expressly said to be destroyed directly by God. That could be why the BBC article was such a great find because it not only gave me universal truth believed by scientists, it also took my inquiry to millions of years back and made me see how naturally rational our world is, or should I say, spiritually foolish?
They believe in asteroids and fear it, but they don't fear God that destroyed Sodom and her surrounding cities with the same method that their famed scientific discovery of how the dinosaurs were exterminated from the planet Earth. Of course, if the then world of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboim were to be ours today, the event then would have been explained away scientifically or attributed to something else, but not as an act of divine judgment due to their sins before the thrice holy God. The world has refused to believe God. But they believe in science. And that is why this belief by science in the cataclysmic destruction of dinosaurs is very important. In fact, it made me to sheath my piece and reserve it in its place.
How science wants us to believe
Some scientists would want us to believe that the asteroid that exterminated the dinosaurs some millions of years back was just a happenstance because to them, any issue attributed to an act of God is irrational and unscientific. You cannot read anywhere they have said that the asteroid strike was supernaturally orchestrated. They would just want us to believe that the asteroid targeted the dinosaurs, like their precision munitions or guided missiles, and wiped them off the face of the planet, leaving the snakes and others to hide themselves, and over the years evolved again into different species.
They know that asteroid hit the earth, targeted only the monsters but spared the lower creatures. It was just a happenstance, uh? They will never say it was the act of God that eliminated those dangerous creatures to make the earth more safe for humans. Yet, in all their fictional movies that the entertainment industry creates out of the scientific researches, they portray the dinosaurs as monsters, just as the human monsters the Bible describes in Genesis 6 as “giants in the earth”. And they would not think that the same act of God that destroyed that generation of human monsters was responsible for the extermination of those monstrous creatures.
How they evolved away from God's original purpose for creating them, could be likened to how man also evolved away from the original purpose God created him to become "giants in the earth" whom God's Spirit was no longer able to control, who became stronger and more intelligent than the Spirit of God; and that, on a universal scale. God destroyed everything that had breath that moved on the Earth or flew in the sky, except for those that obeyed the voice of His servant Noah.
All scientists believe that asteroid wiped out dinosaurs
The BBC article said that the impact of the asteroid strike caused so much devastation, with most animals and plants dying out. The "dinosaurs famously died out when that asteroid hit the Earth 66 million years ago, triggering earthquakes, tsunamis and wildfires, followed by a decade of darkness when ash clouds blocked out the sun." (Sounds to me like the Book of Revelation).
The NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM, UK, concurs. “Sixty-six million years ago, dinosaurs had the ultimate bad day.” Then it added, “With a devastating asteroid impact, a reign that had lasted 180 million years was abruptly ended.” https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/how-an-asteroid-caused-extinction-of-dinosaurs.html
That is interesting. And what more, it says, “it ended abruptly”. But they don’t believe in supernaturally orchestrated thundering, lightnings, earthquakes etc
You know, because scientists have not found heaven and the inhabitants, as they have found many planets and other heavenly bodies (maybe the $10 billion James Webb Telescope might help them), they do not believe that many of these thunderings and lightnings and earthquakes are the deliberate creations of supernatural forces of God from far away heaven, which by divine act could happen instantly, not by increasing global warming. But at least they believe that asteroids could wipe out a sizable portion of humanity if it impacts a region of the earth; and that "abruptly" as it did with the dinosaurs.
Well, at least they know that dinosaurs were removed from the Earth abruptly not gradually due to climate change. They know that asteroids are not the result of climate change, but bodies in the heavenly orbits, which the Maker of the universe put in place to keep enjoying their courses until the evil day called by the Bible as the Day of Judgment.
The Bible is very explicit

David told of how he was in great distress and overwhelmed by his enemies that were too numerous and more powerful than he was, and how he cried to the Lord. Then the Lord answered him by using these heavenly phenomena.
These heavenly phenomena are not ALL the product of predictable occurrences. Some are the conscious creations of God in answer to prayers of His faithful believers and also His judgment. Maybe, Apostle John was a scientist. No! He wasn’t. God showed him how He would use the same heavenly phenomena to devastate the earth in future. Some scientists and many God denials would cast aspersions against the word of God, whereas their own science tells them that such had happened some 66 million years ago, according to them. The simple reason is that the minds of such people are darkened by the devil that they would not believe or want the world to believe the truth of God, and repent of their evil ways.
Unfortunately, they hold the loudest megaphones, control the narratives, the governments of the world, and impose their minds upon all of us compelling us all to discard our belief and save ourselves from experiencing the same thing they believe happened some 66 million years ago, which they believe also might happen, for which they are monitoring the heavens to discover all they can and find ways to stop such reoccurrence. If it wiped dinosaurs off the planet Earth, it could also wipe man out.
Revelation 8:13 simply concludes: And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
But they cannot hear this, just as Jesus lambasted the Pharisees. Rational and evil men cannot hear the warnings of future judgment of God, which like judgment science goes back into history and unearths, invariably authenticating the Bible history.
Revelation 9:1-21 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+9%3A1%2D21%3B+Revelation+12&version=KJV gives us further details and explains that the reason for these divine judgments is to cause all of us that are not unfortunate to have perished in many unfortunate calamities to repent.
However, it says the world wouldn’t repent …of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.” (v. 20-21).
Why asteroid strike is dreaded by scientists
Asteroid strike is well believed and dreaded by the scientific community. They are afraid of even the smallest asteroid hitting the earth. Therefore, they are doing all they can to monitor it or even know what they can do to save the earth. But you know many of us just go on ahead living on earth, while some who know some scientific truths they wouldn't want to attribute to God, work behind the scenes to “protect” the planet from alien invasion or heavenly strike.
On Tue January 18, 2022, CNN wrote on the title, “A huge, kilometer-wide asteroid will pass by Earth today”. That asteroid “estimated to be around a kilometer (3,451 feet) wide would pass within 1.2 million miles of our planet moving at 47,344 miles per hour (76,193 kilometers per hour), according to NASA’s Center for Near Earth Object Studies, which tracks potentially hazardous comets and asteroids that could collide with our planet.”
Did you hear that? The asteroid waltzed past within 1.2 million miles of our planet. 1.2 million miles is about 1,931,212.8 km, (multiplied by 1.603 km/mi). That is about 151.56 times the diameter of the earth or about 96.49 times the distance between the North and South poles.
The diameter of the Earth is said to be 12,742 km. According to Lisbdnet.com “The total straight line flight distance from North Pole to South Pole is 12,430 miles. This is equivalent to 20 004 kilometers or 10,801 nautical miles.” They said the exact figure is 12,436.12 mi (20,014.00 km). Now think about it. Why should an object, flying pass the distance of 1.2 million miles away be of interest? It is simply because they fear that what happened some 66 million years ago could happen to the Earth and bring it to cataclysmic end. Therefore scientists keep exploring to find all the asteroids they can and map their trajectories.
Invariably, they believe in Revelation and are afraid of God, but they'll rather not believe God because that would mean repenting and causing humanity to repent from their evil and monstrous ways like the dinosaurs and avoid cataclysmic destruction by God with heavenly bodies, such as asteroids. Therefore, everything is limited to scientific explanations.
Millions of scientifically discovered and mapped asteroids
The CNN article we mentioned above says that that asteroid that passed by the Earth unknown to many of us on January 18, 2022, known as 7482 (1994 PC1), was discovered in 1994 according to NASA. It says nobody expects that one kilometre-wide asteroid to hit the Earth and that that distance of 1.2 million miles is the closest that particular asteroid will come for the next two centuries. Therefore, the scientists have some respite concerning that one.
However, they know that many more asteroids abound, even those that are stealthy. Therefore, their worries know no limit. The article talks about some other asteroids that have swept past the earth such as asteroid 3122 Florence (1981 ET3). It says that this flew by and missed colliding with Earth on September 2017. This one, “asteroid Florence (1981 ET3), which was estimated to be about 2.5 miles and 5.5 miles wide is predicted to make another pass on September 2, 2057.”
It is said that scientists have identified more than I million asteroids today according to NASA, Space.com writes. It says that asteroids lie primarily within three regions of the solar system. “Most asteroids lie in a vast ring between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.” It says that the main asteroid belt holds more than 200 asteroids larger than 60 miles (100 km) in diameter. Scientists estimate the asteroid belt also contains between 1.1 million and 1.9 million asteroids larger than 1 km (3,281 feet) in diameter and millions of smaller ones, according to NASA.” – Space.com. https://www.space.com/51-asteroids-formation-discovery-and-exploration.html#
They are afraid of asteroids but not the Maker of the asteroids who can both destroy the Earth by asteroids and the soul and body in hell
Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
You see, scientists are doing everything possible to detect as many asteroids in the universe as they can and monitor their trajectories because they believe in such heavenly phenomenon and fear that what happened 66 million years ago could happen again, but this time against humans who have become as dinosaurs by their sins before God. But as the Lord said of the Pharisees, who could predict the weather but could not discern God, the scientists of our days can correctly predict the trajectories of asteroids, and believe in them, write them, preach them by publishing them in authoritative scientific journals, and want us all to believe them. However, they do not believe in the signs of the Son of man and do not want any of us who believe the message of the Book of Revelation to preach and warn mankind of the Day of judgment of God.
Well, the fact that they are afraid of asteroids means that they are afraid of the judgment of God, the Maker of the asteroids. They have not said so pointedly, but that is what they mean. Yet, they would not want to believe Him and turn to Him for mercy.
Of course, we know the reason. It is not because they are unwilling by themselves, but because of him, the god of this world, who has blinded the eyes of men that they should not see the glorious Gospel of redemption of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The devil wants all men to remain condemned enemies of God and perish eternally in hell with him and his demons.
Sodom and Gomorrah were not myths as dinosaurs weren’t myths
As we get near the end of our discussion, recall where we began and our focus; and that is why the scientists afraid of asteroids. They know that what happened the 66 million years ago was not myth, but scientific reality. They know that dinosaurs were not myths. Paleontologists have dug up many fossils from various places of the earth. Between the proponents of abrupt end of dinosaurs and the proponents of progressive
It is either all these authoritative institutions – BBC, NATIONAL HISTORY MUSEUM, SMITHSONIAN MAGAZINE are correct scientifically, or they are all fraud. But one should think that they are not frauds. The Smithsonian magazine even posed a query and answered it.
Looking at the query, one would decipher that within the scientific community, some posit that the dinosaurs were on the decline when that asteroid hit them and removed them from the face of the earth. Those must be the staunch climate change advocates. They must have tried to hypothesize the climate change into the event of 66 million years ago that happened "abruptly". We already saw that the NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM, UK does not believe it happened progressively.
This is very crucial, because it invariably authenticates the Bible that the earth would be gone instantly by divine act, not really progressively by climate change. Climate change is real, no doubt. But it gives man sign and opportunity to repent and turn to God, which many would not.
The Smithsonian Magazine does not also believe that "dinosaurs might have already been dying back by time the asteroid struck". It does not argue against the commonly established belief by the scientific community that the dinosaurs were made extinct by asteroids 66 million years ago. However, it put in quotes, “ruled the Earth”, which shows their doubt about those monsters being the "kings" of the Earth then, not their existence or their extermination:
“If dinosaurs “ruled the Earth” for millions of years, why were they hit so hard by the mass extinction of 66 million years ago? Paleontologists have been puzzling over this question for decades, and, some have suggested, dinosaurs might have already been dying back by time the asteroid struck. But an increasing amount of evidence contracts that view, including a study published this year in Royal Society Open Science. The researchers looked at different evolutionary trees for what dinosaurs were around during the end of the Cretaceous to track whether dinosaurs were dying out, thriving or staying the same. After sifting through the data, the paleontologists didn’t find any sign that dinosaurs were declining before the asteroid strike. In fact, dinosaurs seemed perfectly capable of evolving new species. If the asteroid had missed, the Age of Dinosaurs would have continued for a very long time.
Now we have them explain by themselves why they are afraid of asteroids
I want to conclude this interesting discussion with a quote from the last sentence from the Smithsonian magazine referred to above: “If the asteroid had missed, the Age of Dinosaurs would have continued for a very long time.” That, no doubt, is why the scientists are searching the orbits and monitoring every asteroid that they can and have found, because as long as the asteroids continue to miss the earth, the earth would remain. But should it attempt it, of course they are prepared to use plan B – nuke it.
Nuking asteroids
We have such article written by none other high profile Newspaper than the New York Times titled: How Nuclear Bomb Can Save the Earth From Stealthy Asteroid.

The orbits of almost every asteroid two-thirds of a mile across or larger have been precisely mapped out. “We know they’re not going to be a threat anytime soon,” said Megan Bruck Syal, a planetary defense researcher at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.”
According to the NYT, their focus is on relatively small asteroids, those about the size of football stadiums, notable for their abundance as well as their ability to evade asteroid-hunting observatories. “Those are the ones that we tend to worry more about because they could come out of nowhere,” Dr. Bruck Syal said.
“Such a diminutive asteroid may not sound like much of a danger compared to the 6.2-mile colossus that slammed into Earth 66 million years ago with apocalyptic results. But a meteor that exploded over Siberia back in 1908 was only about 200 feet across — and the blast’s shock wave leveled 800 square miles of forest. “That’s the size of the whole Washington D.C. metro area,” said Dr. Bruck Syal.”
You see why they are afraid; and indeed their fear is real. But they wouldn't dare link it to the revelation of God's word because they don't believe in Him.
They are afraid of asteroids that took out dinosaur monsters but not afraid of the God that took out Sodom
We can see that scientists are afraid of the repeat of such an asteroid that hit the earth some 66 million years ago and are doing everything they can to learn about asteroids and possibly prevent it from attempting it against this civilization. But they are not afraid of the God that took out Sodom and its satellite cities because of sin and corruption just some few thousand years ago. Of course, they do not attribute the asteroid and the dinosaurs to an act of God.
The event of 66 million years ago reminds them that something cataclysmic could happen to the earth. But the events of Sodom, a divine judgment of known history does not send chills over them. They do not talk about Sodom because they know it is not a myth. The sinful world knows that the reason God destroyed Sodom is what they call freedom. They know that such destruction took place. But instead of the governments of the world that value lives and would do anything to save the planet Earth, even from asteroids, they would not admonish the world to repent of their sodomy, modern language coined out of the reason God destroyed Sodom and its satellite cities. They fear asteroids that destroyed dinosaurs 66 million years ago, but they don't fear God that destroyed Sodom and neighbours just a few thousand years back.
Can the mortal stop the acts of the Immortal?
Science cannot save the planet Earth in the Day of judgment. Whether by asteroids or by fire and brimstone, can mortals stop God in the Day of judgment? In those days, writes the Apocalypse:

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
MORTALS CANNOT STOP GOD.
This is why we must continue to preach, using their scientific discoveries to remind them of the word of God that they are refusing to believe and get saved. And as the Lord said in Luke 13:1-5, to those people that told Him about the people that Herod, the politician and king used for ritual sacrifices and those that the tower of Siloam collapsed upon, so He says to the world today, I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
It will happen abruptly as it happened abruptly both 66 million years ago against dinosaurs known only to scientists and preached by them, and a few thousands years ago against Sodom and its satellite cities known by all of us of the modern era and preached by the Bible, the inerrant word of God. Therefore, repent.
